The other was by Saneuji:
Row upon row of fragrant
Cherry blossoms, fitting
Decoration for our Lord’s
Long and flourishing reign.
Sanekane’s poem was felt to be in no way inferior to these great poems. After this there was a kickball game. [3.18]
